An incredible mom in our community, Leslie Weed, was inspired to start the non-profit (Helping Enrich Autistic Lives) by her own family’s struggles in raising their daughter, Lanier, who is non-verbal and profoundly affected by autism. After not speaking for most of her life, Leslie introduced an iPad to help Lanier communicate. Lanier's first few sentences were, “Thank you for releasing my voice,” “Tell my mom I love her,” and “Tell my dad he’s my hero.” We were inspired to make this tee with powerful statements made by autistic people who found their voice later in life. We’re honored to donate the proceeds back to HEAL so they can continue changing the world for children, teens, and adults with autism.
